Our involvement in a Nature Based Tourism project led to our decision to give money to local charities. We figured we wouldn’t miss a fiver out of the cruise fees paid by each guest who signed up to join us. We also ask on our Booking Form if our guests would like to double the donation by adding £5 of their own. We chose two charities close to our hearts working on the basis that if we were less busy we would be giving our time to them – Argyll Animal Aid and the local Mountain Rescue Teams (MRT).
So far we have donated £10646.75. Of this £3867.50 went to Animal Aid, £2085 to Oban MRT and £4694.25 to Glencoe MRT. Of the total (from 2006) our very kind-hearted guests have given £1996.25. Read more about our donations in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 (£788).
What our customers say
From a photographic point of view the voyage provided many unique opportunities.
DID YOU KNOW?
Atlantic puffins have penguin-like colouring but they sport a colourful beak that has led some to dub them the "sea parrot". The beak fades to a drab grey during the winter and blooms with colour again in the spring.
