America
(RS 80) was
built in 1971 and was stationed mainly at Krisoffervalen, Vannvåg / Tromvik (Troms).
Stein Storlien, Rescue Superintendent for NSSR, emailed us in 2003 to say America
plus three of her sister ships were still owned by NSSR. 
America
continued to work from a station in Egersund but is now privately owned by a
Norwegian called Mr H Storvik. The vessel is located in Kristiansund. Mr
Storvik is hoping to refurbish her to luxury yacht standards and spend most
