Many of our guests have cruised past the wonderful Neist Point lighthouse in North West Skye. But we don’t often get to see the lighthouse up close as it’s not an easy place to access from the sea. These photos are taken from the land, to give you an idea of what the lighthouse looks like up close – a New Year walk for Michelle, who like many of our guests, is a lighthouse enthusiast!.
A long drive to one of the remotest corners of Skye takes you to a walk leading to the lighthouse. The outbuildings, previously used as holiday accommodation, are now a little delapidated, but the lighthouse itself and its stunning location still make a fantastic impression.

A small bothy on Stac Lee was formerly used by St Kilda fowlers. It is big enough to accommodate two people and is dry inside.
