Puffins

Synopsis: a gentle early season cruise where we take advantage of the natural shelter of the islands. Walks planned daily. This is a great time of year for seabirds, raptors and the possibility of early cetaceans.

Inner Hebridean Seabirds cruising areaDestination: guests join motor vessel Hjalmar Bjorge around 1600 on Thursday 29 April in Oban. Our departure shortly thereafter will see us on anchor for our first evening meal aboard.

The itinerary is dependent on weather - balancing shelter with reaching our preferred destinations - but may include, for example, some of the following places: Mull, the Small Isles (Rum, Canna, Eigg and Muck), the west coast of Skye, the Treshnish Isles, Gometra, Iona, Coll and the Garvellachs, etc. Expect sea and golden eagles, seabirds and hopefully some early cetaceans.

On the final day we head back into Oban for your departure after brunch or lunch on Wednesday 5 May.
